SPECIAL CARE FOR THE FEET
Don't try to operate yourself on a deep corn or callous; you'll
very likely make it worse. See a podiatrist for that. You probably won't need to, though,
if you take preventive care of your feet. Use a pumice stone over the rough spots once a
week for a good at-home treatment. Blackstone pumice stones
(available at better drugstores, or order through Williams Lab, P.O. Box 101, Oradell, New
Jersey 07490) are amazing, well worth ordering if you can't find them in the stores.
FOR VERY HARD TO REMOVE
CALLUSES
Rub a Blackstone pumice stone
over deep calluses--it really works. (Available at better drugstores, or order through
Williams Lab, P.O. Box 101, Oradell, New Jersey 07490). This pumice stone is amazing, and
well worth ordering if you can't find it in the stores.
CRACKED HEELS AND ELBOWS
Use vitamin E capsules, A and D ointment from the drugstore or
Crisco daily until the cracks have healed, then moisturize everyday and use a pumice (preferably Blackstone) every
time you bathe to prevent them from happening again. Also, don't walk barefoot around the
house and pool, as I did in Los Angeles for seventeen years. Even though I moisturize
daily, I still had cracked heels.
